Cave dwelling is not what it used to be - especially in Andalusia!

Nowadays more people are attracted to the idea of escaping from the busier resort areas of the Costas. As well as a more peaceful environment, the cave houses (casas cuevas) have more to offer than ever before. This new troglodyte trend is by no means a move back to the Stone Age. The 21st century Andalusian cave house is surprisingly well equipped with all mod cons, so as modern day cave dwellers we have not regressed to being Neanderthal. As well as the necessary water, gas and electricity supplies, we have a good broadband connection, heated swimming pool, bar and barbecue area.
Summer Room
Private large sun terrace
This private double room is accessed up a gentle staircase above the bar area. It has a large window overlooking the pool area. The double sleigh bed positioned for maximum views. Beautiful Moroccan style ensuite with shower toilet and sink. Patio doors lead directly onto the large private sun terrace with covered pergola and panoramic views across the countryside and beyond to the often snow capped Sierra Nevada mountains. The perfect place for privacy and to watch the sunset!
Gina's Cave
Ambient year round temperature
This private cave room is accessed through a secluded covered terrace. Outside there is a private seating and dining area. The room has a glass fronted door and two windows with privacy blinds overlooking the pool area. En suite with large shower, toilet and sink. The Kingsize bed faces the view onto the terrace with both sunny and shaded areas. Here you have views across the pool and beyond to the often snow capped Sierra Nevada mountains. The perfect place to retreat from the heat or take a peek at the pool.

Ambient year round temperature
Set back within the hill of the main house is a traditional double cave bedroom. The doorways and ceilings are traditionally low, adding to the cosy and contained feel of cave dwelling. Lit with natural light from 6m above via a Sun Tunnel, and ventilated to maintain an ambient all year round temperature. Just outside the room is a large beautiful shower room with large walk-in overhead shower, carved marble sink and a toilet.

HEATED seasonal pool surrounded by a spacious terrace set in the centre of the complex. The pool depth is 1.4m approx (4'8"), so perfect for cooling off without feeling out of your depth. Plenty of space to lounge in the sun, or take a break in our shaded seating areas.

Undercover poolside bar and barbecue area. Take what you want and just add it to your tab. Cook and eat outside and enjoy the warm summer evenings.

The garden has well designed sections for relaxing in both the sun or the shade. Perfect for alfresco breakfast and dining, or quietly reading. Try out our hammock, it's a firm favourite!
